Welcome to Engage Life Employee Assistance Program Behavioral Health and Wellness. We specialize in Integrated Life and Family Programs with special emphasis on Cultural Continuity. Our services are unique in that we merge traditional and progressive approaches to meet the individual needs of our clients.
EAP and Behavioral Health and Wellness models are as varied and different as the organizations and service providers who construct them.
The differences are based on individual organization's views on how best to manage workplace mental health, work life balance and integration, employee engagement and retention.
The primary philosophical dilemma faced by organizations is whether it is wiser to invest their money in the front-end prevention and proactive employee services, or whether it's better to spend their money on employee disability management and health care cost containment to deal with the problem. Perhaps it can best be summarized as proactive versus reactive, or prevention versus triage.
Engage Life's view is that employee's engagement, creativity and their collected synthesized social capital are the real products of successful organizations in the 21st century. We believe investment in prevention and positive proactive mental health services and programs for employees yields the largest ROI for their organizations.

RESOURCES & REFERRALS
Engage Life offers information and resource services for today's busy people. We will research and locate resources for people and provide that information within two business days of the call.
MANAGEMENT REFERRALS
When an employee’s personal issues impact their work functioning and normal supervisory coaching or disciplinary action does not resolve the performance problem an employer may want to initiate a formal referral to the EAP. In this case, limited information concerning the employee’s EAP attendance and participation is provided to the employer. Management referrals are tracked for a period of 12 months.
Supervisors may phone or meet with our professional staff to discuss personnel and organizational situations that might benefit from EAP intervention. This component truly distinguishes the services of Engage Life as a "high touch" organizational partner. The effectiveness of management consultations is enhanced by the on-going working relationship that is cultivated by Engage Life with your organization.
SUPERVISOR TRAINING SESSIONS
On-site workshop sessions are provided to familiarize your supervisors with handling employee referrals. They will learn the signs that indicate an employee may be having difficulties and how to effectively refer such employees to Engage Life. Quarterly supervisory newsletters are provided to support the front-line supervisor throughout the year and to encourage them to call Engage Life for consultation and support.
EMPLOYEE PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
Employees utilize their EAP benefit when they are aware of its availability, its professionalism and its confidential nature. Our attractive promotional pamphlets clearly describe the benefit, wallet sized cards are a convenient way to keep EAP information handy and workplace posters emphasize the value of using EAP counseling for every day concerns as well as more urgent issues.
Introductory employee-orientation sessions are conducted by our EAP staff during open enrollment and are a very good way for the employees to learn about their EAP benefit and to encourage utilization of the program. These sessions, which normally take 15 minutes, can be held at your work site and are scheduled to coincide with your employees' work schedules and your open enrollment dates.
Information continues throughout the year with our quarterly newsletter which is provided to the company in electronic format for its own duplication and distribution. This publication, produced by the Engage Life staff, is geared to the company’s workforce. Articles in the newsletter address a variety of topics pertaining to employee well-being and the workplace such as preventing workplace violence, strengthening coworker communication, coping with change and uncertainty, and balancing work and home.
QUARTERLY REPORTS
The Engage Life EAP Report provides much valuable information about your company's use of the EAP services. It lists the number of employees who have used the program, the total number of consultation and counseling sessions provided to your managers and employees, and the types of problems for which help was sought. Employees' names are not included in order to maintain confidentiality. The Utilization Report can also indicate when additional employee or supervisor training may be needed to increase utilization of the program and is helpful for your cost analyses.
